What should I expect during a HSIS home inspection?
The home inspection process typically starts with the outside of the home.
Each component around and on the exterior of the home is examined.
Typically these items include:
• Roof
• Siding
• Windows
• Foundation
• Landscaping
After the exterior, the home inspector usually examines the basement followed by the operating systems within the home such as:
• HVAC System
• Electrical System
• Plumbing System and Water Heating
• Building Structural Elements
Next, the home inspector examines the first floor including:
• Closets
• Kitchens
• Bathrooms
• Laundry Facilities
• Windows
• Electrical Components
• HVAC Components
• Structural Elements
Afterwards, the home inspector proceeds to do the same with the second floor level in the home. Before the inspector finishes, the attic and crawl spaces will also be examined.
